Meet Corinne

Corinne Iya, MA

Owner, Professional Counselor

Corinne founded Stonehaven Counseling with a desire to offer compassionate, clinically grounded care to individuals and families in Elverson and the surrounding communities.

After spending a decade living and serving in Uganda, Corinne became deeply aware of the ways difficult experiences, loss, and trauma can shape a person’s story. She spent several years working closely with children and adolescents who had experienced complex developmental trauma before returning to graduate school to earn her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling.

Corinne has since gained clinical experience across private practice and school-based settings, supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate emotional, relational, behavioral, and life challenges. She also brings experience from her work in higher education, where she supported college students as they navigated accountability, relationships, personal challenges, and the transition into adulthood.

Today, Corinne works with children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of concerns. Informed by her faith, she values the inherent dignity of each person and believes in the possibility of healing, growth, and hope, even in the midst of difficult seasons. Her approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed, grounded in the belief that meaningful healing often begins when we feel safe enough to be known and supported.

At Stonehaven, Corinne seeks to create that kind of space - a place where you can slow down, make sense of what you are carrying, and begin moving toward greater connection, healing, and hope.

Beyond the Therapy Room

  • I was born and raised in Elverson, Pennsylvania, but spent four years living in Texas and another ten in Uganda before settling back in my hometown.

  • I’m a wife and a mom of two, so I understand firsthand how joyful and exhausting it can be to care for others while still making room for yourself.

  • Running and reading are my favorite ways to unwind—though not at the same time.

  • One of my favorite things about Chester County, PA is getting to experience the beauty and variety of all four seasons.
